Spormaggiore Animal Refuge Park, the Park of the brown bear in Trentino

Welcome to Spormaggiore Animal Refuge Park

The Spormaggiore Animal Refuge Park originates on the High Plains of Paganella in Trentino in a large protected area surrounded by greenery.

The Animal Refuge Park offers all its visitors the unique opportunity to observe the brown bear at close quarters. This is the largest mammal living in the Alps and has returned to populate the forests of Trentino thanks to a targeted re-introduction program. Here, in a completely natural environment, you can admire three of them that live within an area of 7000 square meters.

A few years ago, the expansion of the entire Park was launched; it will soon host other typical species of undoubted interest native to the Alps: the wolf and the lynx.
